The expansive 96-inch wide top has a functional base including a large file on the side with a top utility drawer and a bottom drawer with a locking file and pendaflex filing system and a leg end panel. The desk is fully finished on the back so it can be floated in a room.

MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
